Coach Recognition Awards 2007

Mohammed Ali recently won the Development Coaching Award (Schools) at the 2007 Coach Recognition Awards.

This is the third time the 49-year-old coach has won this award and in his 11 years of coaching, he has overseen teams at various schools including Punggol Primary School, Seng Kang Secondary School, National Junior College and Nanyang Technological University.

At the National Inter-Schools Hockey Championships, his National Junior College girls team were third in the ‘A’ Division while Seng Kang Secondary School were third in both the ‘B’ Division Boys and Girls competitions. Seng Kang Secondary School also went on to clinch first (Girls) and second (Boys) place at the National 6-a-side Hockey Championships. At the 2006 National Inter-Primary Schools Hockey Championships, his boys and girls teams from Punggol Primary School came in second and third respectively.
