Anglican High, Friday, January 18, 2008 – East View Secondary beat Chai Chee Secondary 47-32 in a hard-fought win to start their East Zone campaign on a winning note.
East View showed better poise in the first period while Chai Chee seemed plagued by early-season jitters. Though they executed several good attacks, they only managed to score a mere four points against East View’s 11 points.
The second period had Chai Chee putting up a better fight. The game was momentarily interrupted due to technical difficulties when the score board and timer malfunctioned. The technical problems weren’t sovled as the horn sounded unintentionally, leaving several of the players confused. Despite that, Chai Chee managed to outscore East View 18-8 in the quarter for a 22-19 lead at half-time.
The third period saw East View step up their game as their coach rallied them on. The game was tied 30-30 midway in the third period for some time before Chai Chee finally broke away with a two-point lead. A time-out called saw East View’s coach giving many instructions to his team to take back the lead. “Two points only,” he encouraged his squad in Mandarin. He gave instructions till his voice was hoarse, making sure his players did not give up any more points to their opponents. East View managed to keep Chai Chee from scoring any more points and the period ended 30-32.
The fourth period saw East View pound Chai Chee hard. The team scored basket after basket to extend their lead. With the East View coach continuously shouting to his East View players from the sidelines, the Chai Chee players seemed a little disheartened as East View’s lead grew larger. East View defense was outstanding in the quarter as they prevented Chai Chee from scoring a single point while they scored 17 to eventually win 47-32.
Chai Chee’s #15 was the top scorer of the match with 15 points but it was not enough to win the game for his team. The other top scorers for the game were #9, 11 and #12 of East View.

i agree with les .. hahas .. north players are rude ..
ya
yeah. i agree with point A B C AND D
Let’s discuss what the possible reasons are for no photos of North Zone matches.
a. We look down on North Zone people, particularly basketballers who have no manners and make rude comments in our chat boxes.
b. We haven’t perfected the technology to be in more than one place at one time. We are still working on that.
c. There isn’t enough manpower to cover the hundreds of fixtures out there.
d. There are other sports besides basketball.
sorry is didnt came and take photos
why the redsport people came to take photos of north zone match?
