Catholic High table tennis make winning start in South Zone

Peirce Secondary Sports Hall, Friday, February 1, 2008 – Lee Joo Chuen and Chang Wei Zhi of Catholic High partnered well to beat their Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) doubles counterparts 3-0 to secure the winning point as their school went on defeat ACS(IND) 5-0 in a B Division South Zone Table Tennis Championship game.

Other players in the Catholic High winning team included Chen Zhaoqi, who played the first singles match. Though he started somewhat nervously, he later recovered to win his match 3-1.

Brandon Boh and Lim Dao Jing then edged their opponents in the first doubles match 3-2 to take an unassailable 3-0 lead. Yeo Jin Peng and Chow Zi Wai then wrapped up the remaining singles matches with a 3-0 scoreline each.

In a later match, they combined to beat Ang Mo Kio Secondary 4-1.
