Pasir Ris Primary, March 6, 2008 – Xishan Primary had reason to celebrate as both their Senior Boys and Senior Girls floorball teams emerged champions of the Floorball Senior Division Championship.

For the boys final, Xishan overcame Meridian Primary 3-2 despite having lost to the latter 0-9 in the preliminary round. The fight for 3/4th position saw Pasir Ris Primary beat Casuarina Primary 6-3 after a 5-goal scoring streak in the third period by Pasir Ris.

The girls final saw Xishan Primary battle it out with Pasir Ris Primary for the coveted trophy. After a close game, the Xishan girls edged out their opponents 4-3 to win the championship. In the 3/4th match, Concord Primary defeated Qihua Primary despite the latter’s comeback attempt. Qihua’s goal in the second period was not enough to give them the win. Concord won 3-2.

The Junior Division Tournament will take place in Term 2, tentatively during 31st March to 30th April 2008. Will Xishan make a complete sweep of the the Junior titles as well?
