Saturday, April 19, 2008 – As the first round of the National Schools A Division Rugby Championship draws to a close, matches played on Saturday saw the four favourites and potential semi-finalists match up.

Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) beat St Andrew’s Junior College 21-3 but it was a tightly-contested game in the first half, with ACS(Ind) leading SAJC 6-3 at the half, with all the scoring coming from penalties. In the 2nd half, ACS(Ind) pulled away to win.

Over at ACJC on a heavy pitch, both Anglo-Chinese Junior College and Raffles Junior College were evenly matched and ACJC eventually eked out a 3-0 win. A lone penalty in the first half was the only difference between the teams.
