I think it was a huge mistake to leave noh alam shah out. He should be given a chance. Well, maybe you’d say his presence and dan bennett’s in the spore team might affect the lions performance, but their differences can be patched up. However spore’s defeat can’t be patched. No one can do anything about it unless the lions fight back away. Well, there’s nothing we can do about indra’s lost…marvellous captain, duric and alam shah, but i think putting amri and fazrul upfront would be a perfect match, while ridhuan should be started on the wing coz he’s got pace. Keep the spore’s defense with md noh on the right..ALL THE BEST LIONS!!
Don’t get me wrong – I’m not about to stop supporting the Lions. In fact, that wil never ever happen.
But I fear for Singapore in Tashkent simply because our striking options are shrinking and bcause we are now playing in a foreign land.
And just think – if the Uzbeks can wallop us 7-3 on our home soil without needing to acclimatise to our humid weather, then how much more lethal are they going to be on their home ground.
I am hoping for an improved Singapore performance. And I fantasise about the Lions pulling off the seemingly impossible – a precious away draw or wn. But after last night, I don’t think it’s going to happen.
Still, I am hoping.

You should not be that pessimistic, singaporesportsfan. Even when Singapore is down, we Singaporeans should continue supporting it at the fullest, as seen from yesterday’s football match qualifier. Though the Singapore football team was down 2-5, the fans continued cheering, even louder than before.
I fear to think about the return leg in Tashkent. Indra’s still doubtful while it seems now that Alex Duric has a kneew injury (apparently that was why he was taken out at the break yesterday). And confidence must be really low in the team now after the thrashing.
Tashkent will probably mark the end of Singapore’s 2010 World Cup journey. Question is by how many goals, and with what sort of performance?
