Jalan Besar Stadium, Tuesday, September 29, 2009 – Singapore legend Fandi Ahmad will headline a stellar cast of former Lions internationals in Sunday's traditional curtain-raiser for the 2009 Sultan of Selangor's Cup.

The veteran sides of Singapore and Selangor will take to the Jalan Besar pitch prior to the main match to relive a rivalry that dates back almost a century prior to the main match between Singapore Selection and Selangor Selection.

Singapore fans can look forward to seeing household names from the 1970s to 1990s such as the likes of Dollah Kassim, Robert Sim, Quah Kim Song, Malek Awab, V Sundram Moorthy, Yahya Madon and Lim Tong Hai don National colours once again.

It will be centre-half Tong Hai's first appearance in this annual showpiece after he reached the ´minimum age requirement' of 40 this year.

Fandi, who scored 54 goals in 100 appearances for the Lions, will join former Singapore captains in Samad Allapitchay, Au Yeong Pak Kuan, Malek, T Pathmanathan, Razali Saad and Tong Hai in the star-studded squad.

Tickets priced at $8 (grandstand) and $5 (gallery) are currently on sale daily till Friday 2 October at the Jalan Besar South Entrance Ticket Booth from 12pm to 8pm.

Tickets will also be on sale at the respective ticket booths at the home stadiums of Gombak United and Albirex Niigata (S) during their S.League matches this week:

Jurong West Stadium (Gombak United): Wed 30 September, 6.30pm to 8.00pm
Jurong East Stadium (Albirex Niigata): Thurs 1 October, 6.30pm to 8.00pm
