@Kelvin - It's your eye against mine, your interpretation against mine. Just as how one man's treasure is another man's junk : )

But still I'm a writer, not a dictator.

Despite writing for a Singapore site, I've not picked up the habit of telling people what I want them to think, which is the culture of Singapore I suppose and I've not lived here long enough to acquire that : )

I provide hard facts ("artistically" put) for readers to imagine what it is and could have been otherwise. (More so since I'm a fan of neither team.)

Physical or not, the players and coaches will know better and I quote them off directly. This is not my column, it's not my place to pass my judgment. Quite likely, the players/coaches see and feel things that we from the stands don't.

There's nothing overstated about "running riot" (unless, you are reading the two words in their literal meaning) because at no point after Nwankwo sat out did the Slingers look like they were going to be controlled by the Tigers despite it being the Tigers homeground. Yet the visitors were allowed to run and rule the game the way they want it and as the Thais conceded they had no answer. So there you go : )

Nevertheless, I always look forward to more stories from fans like yourself : )

"Running riot" is a bit of an overstatement. Lets treat it as author's "artistic" privilege.

I see it as a regular day at the office win for the Slingers. We looked a little fatigued, but we did enough to win without need for drama or overt heroics. Michael Wong had a good game and I think that there is something wrong with the stats. I am quite sure he hit more than 1 3-pointer.

The Tigers looked a little casual, and their pre-game warmups and preps looked a little haphazard, with players arriving in drips and draps. Maybe thats why the many injuries, when the game was not overly physical or rough. To their credit, their local players were fiesty and took the game to the slingers when they played the key mins in the 2nd half and they were chasing the game.

The Slingers bench will need to contribute more if we are going to give a good showing in the play offs. Opposing coaches will be more aggressive in tactics geared towards our roster and our player tendencies. If Al V. is not in the game, we don’t carry the ball carrying well under pressure, and our half court offense looks static. If KJ or Marcus picks up early fouls, our defensive intensity will suffer, as will our rebounding. This will press MLB into carrying a heavier defensive load, which may reduce his offensive output. We’ll also need a plan B if our outside shots don’t drop.

Looking forward to the playoffs. Go Slingers!!!!
