Pioneer beat Teck Whye in B Div West Zone basketball

Clementi Sports Hall, Wednesday, February 3, 2010 – Pioneer Secondary beat Teck Whye Secondary 49-40 in their final group game of the B Division West Zone Basketball Championship.
This was Pioneer’s only victory in the group after having lost their previous four games against Chua Chu Kang (30-46), Commonwealth (43-68), River Valley High (26-56) and Hua Yi (16-40).
Teck Whye had beaten beat Commonwealth Secondary 52-51 in their first group game but subsequently lost to River Valley (50-69), Hua Yi (35-58), Chua Chu Kang (30-46).
Both teams did not qualify for the second round from their group while Hua Yi and River Valley High qualified first and second respectively.
