@ peanut and butter – This is just the vote. Not the real singapore team. So just shut up.
ED’S NOTE: COMMENTS EDITED FOR LANGUAGE
Obviously you have no clue on what I’m actually saying. So kthxbai
about what*
Yeah so get a life and learn to READ!!!
In reply to what peanut and butter said. I think you guys shouldnt make this comment if you haven’t really seen those teckwhye players played furthermore there’s only one boy from Teck Whye voted. Not that I disagree. I do agree. It’s of cos likely that teckwhye has the most votes as they are both finalist…
Actually, I was there at the final. (Didn’t catch the girls’ finals though) From what I see, VS players are definitely more individually-skilled than the Teck Whye players; whereas Teck Whye are more of a flicking-and-banging-to-the-forwards kind of team, not as technically gifted as the VS players, but the latter’s teamwork is slightly better. However, this poll is supposed to be based on individual skill of each player hence the title “Who are your best 2011 B Division hockey players”. That is why I believe that this poll is a biased and unreliable one.
P.S. I know Guan Zhi is the dragflicker for Teck Whye and having seen him played twice already, I do not find him to be better than the VS players like the 3 who are trailing behind him in the votes.
You are right. Some of the VS players are very skilful, considering their age.
i think guan zhi is better than vs in terms of individual skills and all..honestly its kinda unreliable, but there’s no need to comment about the players. If your unhappy about the supporters behaviour just keep it to yourself. ty
I was there at the final. In my experience, one of the teck whye boy(malay) was boastful towards the vs crowd when the teck whye guy scored. It was damn shameful on what he was doing.
Personally, I feel that there’s nothing shameful about that. He has the full rights to do whatever he want to, afterall, it’s the team TeckWhye who scored, they can choose to celebrate it in whatever manner they want to. If you’re unhappy, that’s your problem. Comeon they scored the goal, not you.
From this I’m guessing that you don’t really read the newspaper. The celebration should at least show the opponents and all the fans some respect. Although there would be huge jubilation in scoring a goal in the final, the goalscorer shouldn’t have been boastful about it. Just recently, countless newspapers worldwide reported on Wayne Rooney’s use of expletives after scoring one of his 3 goals against West Ham. Afterward he apologized for the incident and was punished with a 2-match ban. This clearly shows that athletes have to maintain a level of sportsmanship and character when playing their game under any circumstances, showing that the Teck Whye goalscorer’s actions were wrong.
Who is hafriz from saint hildas? We played against st hildas before. Is he even playing for them?
yes he is. he’s their centreback who always sweeps through the center they always fly.
Is he good? He seems not.
JIA LE HO from teck whye sec ( left wing)
Sai ramadhan is not even a player for VS hockey team. anyway whoever heard of a parent naming their kid ‘sai’? i think the person who nominated him mistook Syahid Ramadhan to be from VS hockey when he actually is from VS floorball. The votes cast for him clearly shows that this poll is not reliable as people will simply vote for whoever comes from their schools or the school that they root for, even if they’re not good or whatsoever. no offence to anyone.
Well said peanut. I truly agree to the statement that you had just wrote. So redsports please have a policy to the limit of the person one have to vote for each of the nominee. And this shows the popularity of a person instead of their skills.
As u can see from the votes, Teck Whye players have the most votes in both categories. This just further proves my point. Hence I can concur that the votes cast for the Teck Whye players simply went like: OH OH TECK WHYE I GOTTA VOTE FOR THEM!! and majority of the voters are Teck Whye supporters. Simply put, this is just a popularity poll as what Butter has said
The votes does not conclude that whether the player is good but this has come to be said that what peanut has to say. It is true that it is a popularity pole more than just a players skills pole. Hence, as for this conclusion i have to say that it is the skills of the player that matters not the popularity. Point given, what if you’re popular but you don’t have the potential to perform? Won’t that be an embarrassment to him/herself? Thus, i agree what peanut had said as he had made a very clear point about the popularity given to the state of the players skills.
