Singapore, Sunday, July 31, 2011 — Singapore were drawn to play in Group A with China, Jordan and Iraq in Round 3 of the 2014 World Cup qualifiers. The draw was held in Rio de Janeiro on Saturday, July 30, 2011.

Singapore defeated Malaysia 6-4 on aggregate over two legs in Round 2 were placed in Pot 4 of the Asian Qualification Zone (Third Round) along with Thailand, Indonesia, North Korea and Lebanon.

Brazil’s legendary Zico and rising star Lucas from Sao Paolo conducted the ASIAN Zone draw.

The intercontinental play-off draw also paired Asia’s representative with their South American counterpart while the CONCACAF representative will take on a team from the OCEANIA.
