Jakarta, Tuesday, November 15, 2011 — Singapore beat Myanmar 91-74 to register their first win of the South-east Asian (SEA) Games basketball tournament.
The win improves their win-loss record to 1-1 with a final group game to go against Indonesia. The Indonesians beat Malaysia 59-45 to improve their record to 2-0.
Singapore must beat Indonesia to have any chance of a place in the semi-finals.
Veteran Koh Meng Koon had a game-high 25 points for Singapore as he shot 10 of 19 (53%) from two-point range and sank 4 of 8 (50%) 3-pointers.

Michael Wong had a team-high seven assists while teammate Wong Wei Long contributed six.
Singapore blew away Myanmar in the second quarter after the first quarter finished tied at 15-15. A 31-12 second quarter saw Singapore take a 19-point, 46-27 lead into the half-time break. Myanmar never seriously threatened after that.
Singapore head coach Neo Beng Siang gave youngster Delvin Goh, 16, 25 minutes of action in his SEA Games debut and the Unity Secondary player pulled down six rebounds from both ends while contributing one block.

the starting 5 has astonishing defence , if you look at it and i am assuming the starting 5 majority of the 1st quarter , the score was 15-15. the 2nd quarter was good basically cos most probably Michal Wong was introduced. hence the 2nd quarter blow out.
if you look at the 3rd and 4th quarter the scores were pretty close.
IF sigapore were to beat indonesia and bearing in ming that it has been done before, DEFENCE is the key !!!
Patman and steven have to be very good with the defensive rebounds . you got to hit han bin ,shengyu and meng koon with passes and wei long has to sto ball hogging..
Lets go lions and !!!!!
Wah, Wu Qingde accumulated 5 fouls in less than 5 minutes of action? Anyway the total number of fouls doesn’t add up to 10, some error over there?
Thanks for catching the mistake about the total number of fouls. As for Qingde’s five fouls, that’s what we are reading.
