Jalan Besar Stadium, Friday, January 6, 2012 — The first fans got in line at 5:30am to get tickets for the Singapore LionsXII opening fixture against Kelantan on Tuesday, January 10th, in the Malaysian Super League (MSL).

A total of 4,022 tickets were sold over the counter on the first day of pre-match sales that was restricted only to Singaporean citizens and permanent residents.

The Jalan Besar Stadium had an initial capacity of 6,000 seats but this was recently expanded to 7,500 with the addition of a stand at the south end of the stadium along King George’s Avenue.

2,271 Grandstand seats at $12 each were bought on the first day while 1,101 Gallery seats at $7 were taken up. Fans bought an additional 650 King George’s Gallery seats, also priced at $7.

Fans also bought 312 Grandstand and 200 Gallery season passes which guarantees a seat at every home game during the MSL season. Season pass holders will also get priority when buying tickets for the Malaysia Cup.

Pre-match ticket sales will continue from January 7th to 9th while whatever tickets remain will go on sale from 5pm on match day.

Pre-Match Sales
Only Singapore citizens and Permanent Residents are entitled to purchase the pre-match tickets. You can only buy a maximum of four tickets and you will need to bring your identity card along.

Price : Adult – S$12.00 (Grandstand), S$7.00 (Gallery – King George’s Stand)

Match Day Sales (subject to ticket availability)
*You can buy up to four tickets at any one time. Bring your identity card along.
Date: Tuesday, January 10th, 2012
Time: 5pm onwards

Price: Adult – S$12.00 (Grandstand, S$7.00 (Gallery – King George’s Stand)

*Each ticket purchased during this period will come with a limited edition goodie bag with LionsXII memorabilia
