Tuesday, February 28, 2012 — The Singapore Sports School have failed to qualify for the 2012 National B Division Football Championship.
Singapore Sports School were the defending B Division champions and won the B Division title for five straight years from 2007 to 2011.
They were knocked out in Round 2 of the North Zone championship after finishing Round 1 with a perfect 5-0-0, win-draw-lose record, scoring 25 goals while conceding four.
In Round 2, Sports School, Seng Kang Secondary and Serangoon Secondary all finished with identical 1-2-0 records.
However, Sports School’s 2-1 Goals For-Goals Against record was bettered by Seng Kang (3-2) and Serangoon (9-2), leaving them the odd man out for a spot in the semi-finals of the North Zone.
