National ‘A’ Division
St Andrew’s Junior College vs Catholic Junior College
24 April 2007 at Delta Sports Complex
Update kindly provided by a Red Sports reader. Probably a saint. Haha.
Knowing that goal difference might count towards the final table standings, the saints went for goals and massacred the helpless CJC team as they they tore them apart.
Lee Weishing of SAJC ran riot, with his five goals the least he deserved for his efforts. Amazingly, Weishing had not scored in the last two games.
Matthew of SAJC also enjoyed the space and freedom given to him and he set up numerous plays and even managed to score one.
In between, SAJC ‘s Timothy scored a magnificent reverse hit, with his team mate Ivan also scoring before Glenn scored the last goal with a late effort after good work by Praveen down the right flank.
With that, the game ended, the final whistle bringing relief to the CJC players faces who must have thought they were in a nightmare, such was the ruthlessness of the Saints.
remember this score….it will never happen again for the next few years…CJC revamped team is now in the running!!!
“the furthest scoreline i know so far in Schools Hockey is 2006 C-Division Hockey where SAS thrash ACS(Ind) 11-0”
I was there… It wasn’t really fair we were playing half our team with Sec 1s who had just picked up the game a few months before… We did better this year though, when we played with the sec 4 guys… Our A div guys beat SAJC on monday 2-1.
