The following pictorial update has been contributed by Shaun Chook, a student-photographer from Victoria Junior College. Thanks, Shaun!

So I guess you would prefer to let your jersey number remain a mystery, Redzuan?
haha, les, there’s inconsistency in the naming of the captions for your photos. i’m no. 7 in one pic,and no.8 in the next? =)
I defend UltraAJCurvaNord’s right to do an analysis. He does it seriously and doesn’t make silly comments.
I think it’s best that if you do have anything to say, it should be about the game and not about what OTHER people say about the game.
If you’re on the field of play, by all means, write and tell us what happened and perhaps confirm or refute the analysis.
UltraAJCurvaNord… i think ur trying very hard to sound like a professional match analysist. Dont…. the players battling on the field know the truth thats happening within the field. And to be able to read the game well enough would need u to have quite an experience on the field too. its good that u try to give an analysis of the team but… i tot it was a feeble effort. Nice try tho cheers =D meant no sarcasm but an honest opinion.
football is football
not netball
under closer inspection,it might look like an innocous push, but I believe it’s all about bluffing. a defender who’s left alone can be able to jump high and clear the ball off,so a shielding effect is needed by VJ attackers in order for his buddy to fire away.
at first glance, there might be a foul, but such is the close contact between players in such situation that even the linesman might have a hard time checking who’s fouling who.
the vjc goal should have been disqualified. just look at the photo taken by the vjc photographer: a vjc player can be clearly seen pushing against an sajc player just before another vjc player scores that goal. it’s an obvious foul and i wonder what the linesman there is for. conclusion: it wasn’t a fair result.
Saints have fighting spirit.that’s a fact.but they were unfortunate to concede a superbly taken VJ corner.Victoria is lethal with such balls if given the chance(they scored something similar during last year’s A Div final),but otherwise it was a nice outing for the saints.by the way i was watchin it with my younger bro
As for VJ,I didn’t expect their normally watertight defence to end up with a lapse of concentration in the second half, which allowed a cheaply given empty net. if a rematch with MJ looks likely in the second half, they might be even more dangerous than SAints
It seems like this game is a dress rehearsal for the A Div final…
That’s alot of people watching a first round match…
