Aww-right!
Another round of on-pitch war of pride and fury coming up tomorrow – and then very likely a second round of online war of words in the night – as long-time rivals face off in the National ‘A’ Boys Rugby Championship semifinals.
The ACSians are set to battle it out amongst themselves for a berth in the final, while Rafflesians will have to tackle Saints for the other spot.
Here are the games schedules for your convenience.
Many big thanks to Mr Cheong Peng Yong, a teacher from St Andrew’s Secondary School, who has kindly helped me with the information!

Late match preview – but better than never!
Will try to be as impatial as possible.
On paper RJC looks set to win it – they have the talent from all around, even an ex saint in their ranks. The Forwards are fit and hard, as per the coaching of Rees the welsh supremo. Converted backrow player Kevin Neo will look to snipe and steal the thunder from his ex team mates. Backs wise, they do lack structure at times at the breakdown, but none the less the backs are fast and pick the gaps very easily in centre Stuart and Winger John W. Coupled by the fact that most of the backline have in recent times played/trained at National/National Development level, and you have a rather exprienced outfit.
SAJC, on the other hand, looks poorer on paper. But, like they say, the game is played on grass and not on paper. They have lost a fair amount of exprience with the departure of the captain among others, but few will forget what happened in 2006 when the underdog, down and out Saints came back to steal the thunder from RJC. Forwards wise, they will be a hardened lot, with technical expertise from coach Gene Tong. Their hooker will certainly be the man to watch as he commands the pack, and along with his fellow front row mates will aim to contest the scrum. while RJC has a solid and more reputed backline, SAJC has a few talents as well. Look out for exciting Fullback Abel Teo to pick the line and defend like hell.
All in all, its a hard pick – RJC with loads of talent, SAJC with loads of determination. If SAJC brings the fire and brimstone to the game that they are reknown for, they will be in the final. If not, RJC to take the semis and the cup as well. Bold prediction!
When the SAINTS go marching in!
Up and On!
COME ON SAINTS!
BRING THEM DOWN!!!!
to: Conspiracy
stop being childish and sarcastic.
pride comes before destruction.
let’s wait and see who will play the 3rd/4th.
ALL THE WAY SAINTS!!!
Apart from the fact that my sister is a Saint, and hence I’d support them because of this familial relation, I’ll try to be impartial in this analysis
ACSI-ACJC: ACSI will win with better players, but I don’t know if they are going all out for this given they need to conserve energy against RJC/SAJC in the final. They play the same style, except for different players, and this might be close in the end
SAJC-RJC: SAJC can get away with a win only if they have enough mental resolve to tide past RJC’s wave after wave of attacks. RJC though may have to raise their game a large notch as they are evenly matched
