Sometime this Tuesday morning, we received our 100,000th visitor to Red Sports since 1st Feb 2007, 125 days ago.

Wow.

That number means different things to different folks. From an IT point of view, it meant an eviction by our previous server host because we had too many visitors. For advertisers and sponsors, it means that this web site has a lot of authentic sports loving readers.

But the most important meaning of having 100,000 visitors to our site is this: that school sports has passion, resonance and purpose.

We know that it is a privilege to play for your school, an honour to put on your school jersey and a responsibility when you walk on to that field of play.

And in the execution of a pass, in leaping high or running far, you experience a joy, a thrill and a power that transcends the physical.

So athletes, play hard, play fair. You come this way but once.
