National ‘A’ Division Championship 3rd/4th Placing Game
Victoria Junior College vs St Andrew’s Junior College

Catch highlights of the game on Episode 15 of RedSportsTV.
Video produced by Red Sports readers Benjamin Yeo, Sean Seah and Glen Liang of SAJC. Thanks!
Victoria Junior College (VJC) beat St Andrew’s Junior College (SAJC) 2-1 in their 3rd/4th placing game in May of this year. VJC scored first and looked like they would go into the half-time break one-nil up when Jeremy Ong of SAJC equalised with this wonder goal. It is a goal of great skill. I scored one goal like that before – but that’s because I mis-kicked. So Red Sports fans, I give you Jeremy Ong, a true master of the dead ball.

Very impressive, but he seems to have underperform during the mjc vs sajc semi-finals ’08. :/
If it was meant to be a goal which i feel it is , than he has my respect. He was looking right towards the goal and not to any of his teammates around , than his shot was a lobbing one full of power which definetly equals to a shot on goal. Credits to him , the keeper was way off there if he had paid that little attention maybe he would have a chance to tip it over.
[…] Andrew’s Junior College are also making a steady climb up the poll ladder. If you remember, Jeremy Ong scored a wonder goal last year at the National Stadium during the 3rd and 4th place game against […]
i mean. the kick itself was executed perfectly and i dont think anyone could deny jeremy or whatever his name is the credit of having the audacity to try, as well as the skill and power to execute such a long ball if he really meant for it to be a shot.
but haha. its one thing to try a 40 meter in open play when the keeper may be off the line, and quite another to expect people to believe he actually thought he could lob the goalie from that far out in a dead ball situation.
that said. it was a good take coupled by a bad bad mistake by the goalie. honestly. and i still dont believe he meant for it to be a shot, well he knows it himself i guess, and if he really meant for it to be a shot, then well, he has my respect
that’s understandable. i bet many people don’t believe that was a shot either. it takes someone who has seen him practise many times, known his style of playing and witnessed his capability to execute such long balls to believe that he was indeed aiming to score, even from such a ridiculous distance. so it’s okay, dudek.
I don’t believe that was a shot.
GO SA.SA ALL THE WAY
yeah, alot of ppl say he wasn’t aiming for goal but he was. his shots are dubbed the deadly Rocket Shots. if one has the chance to be his teammate, what a great honour that is!
more of a freak goal haha
