In another game, the Nanyang Technological University men’s team recovered from their loss to the National University of Singapore (NUS) the day before to beat Republic Polytechnic (RP) 74-61 to set up a do-or-die game against Ngee Ann Polytechnic tonight.

With all the group games squeezed into one week, teams are playing three or four games in a space of five days, putting players in danger of injury from tiredness. The physical toll on the players could be seen in the women’s game between NTU and RP which started very slowly. RP eventually won 48-46 and will now have to pick themselves up to face Temasek Polytechnic (TP) tonight. The winner will move into the semifinals with group winner ITE.
