Hi readers,
As you may have noticed over the months, other photographers besides myself have contributed their work to this site. Do you take hundreds, if not thousands of pictures and all they do is just sit in your hard drive?
If that’s the case, here is a chance to monetise them. If you send in your pictures of the games you covered and someone wants to buy them, you can keep 70% of the sales. Red Sports will keep 30% of the proceeds to help maintain this site, which has chalked up close to $20,000 in costs this year. Most of the money went to paying for part-timer help in the early months to get the site going and to provide ongoing content. Server costs are nothing compared to human costs to put out an average of 2-3 stories a day at the peak of the school competition season.
You can check out the rates for the pictures in the RedSports Shop. If you are interested, drop me an email so that you can ask me more questions about the Red Sports Photographers’ Programme. What are the chances of anyone buying them? Well, it’s not like selling floss buns, ok? They won’t fly off the digital shelves by the hundreds. But I’ll tell you the chances of selling them if they just remain in your hard drive – zero. 😉
So why not give it a try?
Red Sports. Always Game.

Yes, yes, of course. If I made that much selling pictures, I would fall off my chair.
You mean $20,000 in costs surely? 🙂
