Wednesday, 7 November 07 at the Singapore Basketball Centre
Story by Red Sports reader Ian Chew, a teacher of Catholic High.
A lightning quick offence by Catholic High overwhelmed a hapless Springfield Secondary team 86-25 in a first round Group B match played at Singapore Basketball Centre yesterday.

Jonathan Cher (#7, Catholic High) scored 10 of his game high 18 points in the first quarter to help his team open up a 24-4 lead.
Although Daryl Chow (#7, Springfield) impressed with his shooting - he scored three 3-pointers in the game – he could not help his team turn the tide against the team in red.

James Hong (#6, Catholic High) and Goh Kong Tat (#12, Catholic High) contributed 18 points and 12 points respectively to help their team pull away for an eventual 86-25 victory.
Said Jason Pok (#8, Catholic High):
"We did not perform well in the first match and were determined to improve in our defense and execution. We are happy to have played better in this game. Yet there are still a lot of improvements to be made to our individual play."
