Both teams started off well with a relatively small score margin separating both sides. There were a couple of rallies as both teams chose to play safe. However, Queensway’s spikers usually managed to get pass the Jurong West defence to score with their coach constantly on hand to give the players instructions.

Though Queensway beat Jurong West in this game, they too failed to progress to the second round. Xinmin Secondary (Team 2) and Hai Sing Catholic (Team 1) took the two qualifying spots in their Group E to progress into Round 2, denying Queensway of a chance at the title.
