Hi volleyballers,
Your views have been heard. The arguments in the comments section reflect the honour at stake in the upcoming 2008 Inter-School Volleyball Championships.
In the Boys’ B Division, St Hilda’s have emerged as the overwhelming favourite to capture the 2008 Championship title with 50 votes. Tipped to take 2nd place is Catholic High with 44 votes. However, Shuqun is not far back with 42 votes while North Zone favourite Xinmin is expected to take 4th place with 35 votes. A heated battle had gone on for some time with regards to Catholic High and Shuqun. Having given everyone a preview of their skills at the recently concluded U-16 championships, some readers were in disagreement as to which school would prove the best. It is going to be a hard fight as the teams have been feverishly brushing up their skills and going through intensive trainings during the December holidays. Definitely something to watch out for!
In the Girls’ B Division, Presbyterian High is a clear favorite to win the Championship. With 36 votes, Presbyterian High is in front of Jurong and Ngee Ann. Jurong is in 2nd place, with 31 votes, whereas Ngee Ann is in 3rd. Cedar takes 4th with 17 votes. Surprisingly, Nanyang Girls’ who came in runners up in the ‘C’ Division championships this year did not receive a single vote for this category. Will these predictions come true? Or will Nanyang Girls’ create an upset by breaking into the top 4. Only time will tell.
In the Boys’ C Division, Catholic High emerged the winner in the voting battle against St Hilda’s for the championship title. Catholic High led the vote count by three, pushing St. Hilda’s back into 2nd. Shuqun and Xinmin take 3rd and 4th, with 26 and 25 votes respectively.
In the Girls’ C Division, Cedar Girls’ are still hotly tipped to finish with the title in their hands. At 36 votes, they were hot reader favourites over Ngee Ann with only 25 votes. Dunman, Shuqun and Xinmin are the three teams who look like they have to fight hard to prove that they belong in the top four. Dunman and Shuqun are in joint 3rd position with 16 votes each, whereas Xinmin lags behind with 13 votes.
Thank you all for your votes. We look forward to the new season to see how accurate your predictions will prove to be. 😉

erm.. i don think shuqun is in any way better than cat high too. shuqun had a few sec 4s playing and cat high team consist of only sec 3s. Even then, cat high beat shuqun during the ITE open early this year.
That’s because shuqun had anwar in the u-16 and he’ll not be playing for them in next year’s nationals.
i say that shuqun is a better team than catholic high

This is about NEXT year. SkiaN’s opinion of the top 4 teams in 2008 is valid.
SkiaN,
FOR YOUR INFO
XINMIN SEC didnt even make it to the semi-finals
AND the post clearly wrote yishun town sec as one of the top four schools
are you trying to be funny by putting xinmin sec there as third place???
i believe yishun town sec should be acknowledged for making it this far in the tournament
and look at your comment…
where’s yishun town???
what are you trying to say here?
~word of advice~
think before you post some unnecessary comment
we dont want to stir any emotions in any of the teams
B Division (Boys)
