Hi volleyballers,
Your views have been heard. The arguments in the comments section reflect the honour at stake in the upcoming 2008 Inter-School Volleyball Championships.
In the Boys’ B Division, St Hilda’s have emerged as the overwhelming favourite to capture the 2008 Championship title with 50 votes. Tipped to take 2nd place is Catholic High with 44 votes. However, Shuqun is not far back with 42 votes while North Zone favourite Xinmin is expected to take 4th place with 35 votes. A heated battle had gone on for some time with regards to Catholic High and Shuqun. Having given everyone a preview of their skills at the recently concluded U-16 championships, some readers were in disagreement as to which school would prove the best. It is going to be a hard fight as the teams have been feverishly brushing up their skills and going through intensive trainings during the December holidays. Definitely something to watch out for!
In the Girls’ B Division, Presbyterian High is a clear favorite to win the Championship. With 36 votes, Presbyterian High is in front of Jurong and Ngee Ann. Jurong is in 2nd place, with 31 votes, whereas Ngee Ann is in 3rd. Cedar takes 4th with 17 votes. Surprisingly, Nanyang Girls’ who came in runners up in the ‘C’ Division championships this year did not receive a single vote for this category. Will these predictions come true? Or will Nanyang Girls’ create an upset by breaking into the top 4. Only time will tell.
In the Boys’ C Division, Catholic High emerged the winner in the voting battle against St Hilda’s for the championship title. Catholic High led the vote count by three, pushing St. Hilda’s back into 2nd. Shuqun and Xinmin take 3rd and 4th, with 26 and 25 votes respectively.
In the Girls’ C Division, Cedar Girls’ are still hotly tipped to finish with the title in their hands. At 36 votes, they were hot reader favourites over Ngee Ann with only 25 votes. Dunman, Shuqun and Xinmin are the three teams who look like they have to fight hard to prove that they belong in the top four. Dunman and Shuqun are in joint 3rd position with 16 votes each, whereas Xinmin lags behind with 13 votes.
Thank you all for your votes. We look forward to the new season to see how accurate your predictions will prove to be. 😉

SQS rox kay?
peace la lawrence, i’m not criticizing y’all =D i’m just bushuang abt that predictionshereareallwrong guy
and shan if you continue to criticise anything about us again, dont blame me for saying nasty things to you, i know samuel is your senior and i know him too.
eh shan, i dont know who the hell are you lah but who are you to criticise my sch. The ITE open we dont have quite alot of players coming back and they are all so raw and before you made any comments about us, cant you think first.? Okay i know you all have won us today and i admit we had lost but do you think we will like the way you criticise us. i’m sure you know me, i guess.
LOL.
yeah. peace no war.
catholic high c boys does consistently well throughout. (:
not to mention shuqun c boys, they were good as well.
all volleyballers, why quarrel ;D
to: ShaN
wow. that’s really impressive. without main setter? that’s really good.
:DD
anyway jy for both teams & everyone.
also, like what TingShan said, U16/13 isn’t the nationals.
let’s wait for next year XD
Hahahaha cmon everyone’s entitled to their own opinions, just keep a lookout during nationals lah!
See, U16 ISN’T Nationals. It is acceptable to use it as a gauge while voting, but bear in mind that anything can happen on court, anything can happen to players, and anything can happen to the teams during the period of time between U16 and Zonals/Nationals. So, to people who keep going ‘XX school got champs, how on earth could it be possible that YY school can win them in Nationals?’ or ‘go take a look at u16 results before voting’, and hurling insults at other voters, please be reasonable.
I don’t think people should say ‘you’ve voted wrongly’ because it just doesn’t make sense.
oh ya, i forgot to mention that we won SQS without our main team setter, blocker and even spiker.
keep up the good work SQS
It’s not that we want to quarrel, we’re just proving our point to predictionshereareallwrong whose brain is too puny for sophisticated matters like this.
shuqun played very well. well done.
