Hello athletes and sports fans,
I’m sure most of you have discovered the Groups+Fixtures page here on Red Sports. I am also sure your first thought was, “Aiyah, uncle Les! How come the updates not complete one?!?!!?”
I’ve gone around asking for results from your sport convenors but I am not getting any replies. Your teachers are busy and so I don’t blame them. They have enough to do just organising the games for you to play. So, if you want to help each other here on Red Sports, you can now send an SMS to the following number:
9230 7239
Remember to put in the following information:
Sport – Division – Zone – Boys or Girls – School A + score – School B + score
For example, if you just saw a South Zone basketball game, please SMS:
Basketball – B Division – South – Boys – Queenstown 50 – ACS(BR) 30
If EVERYBODY does their bit, then EVERYONE will benefit and you don’t have to keep asking why there are no updates.
And please, don’t call the number because I am not going to pick it up. If not, I will become a telephone operator. “Hello, Red Sports. How may I help you?”
Also, just send scores, ok? Please don’t send me wu liao stuff like what you ate for lunch. 😉
After you finish watching a game, look up at the score board, and send an SMS straightaway. That way, you will provide the most accurate information for everybody.
Can do?
uncle Les
Red Sports. Always Game.®
Actually we dare not claim full coverage of the school scene. 🙂 Even what we have now on the school scene is woefully inadequate for which we get abused on a monthly basis in the chatbox because we don’t cover this sport or that game.
We will certainly be more than happy to post any stories on the Primary school scene if we can get contributions or volunteers interested in that segment of school sports.
Do let me know if anyone is interested in joining Red Sports as a volunteer to cover that scene.
An important difference between Red Sports and the newspapers is that we WILL post your stories. Space is not a problem for REDSPORTS.SG, unlike the newspapers.
I salute you for your involvement in youth sports.
But why not include the Primary School Sports scene as well? Lots of passion, excitement and values you can capture from the little ones too! WIth that, you can truly claim FULL COVERAGE of youth sport in this country.
The newspapers don’t do primary school sports much.. Why not you? If we want the Youth Olympics, we cannot neglect a portion of the youth.
you’re sure to get spam haha
hopefully you wont get too much spam 🙂
this idea is excellent!
