With the South Zone B Division Boys Volleyball Championship fast approaching the semi-final stages, the intense competition for the much-coveted qualifying spots is heating up. In group A, the equation seems straightforward with Catholic High having qualified. They have won all their games comfortably and have secured qualification with a final game to spare against Queenstown. Zhonghua are also a safe bet to go through to the semis, having lost only to Catholic High thus far. A win against Balestier Hill on the 5th of February will ensure qualification.

The fight for qualification spots in Group B has certainly proved more exciting. Ang Mo Kio have finished at the top of the group having won all their games 2-0 while Queensway and Guangyang are also out of contention for qualification spots. The final spot in the top 4 will go to the winner of the clash between Fairfield Methodist and Chong Boon Secondary. The young Chong Boon team have been the surprise of the season this year, fielding a much-improved team as compared to previous years.

The winner of the battle on the 5th of February at CCAB will go through to the semi-finals.
