Hi footballers and sports fans,
Who are the best 11 footballers in this year’s A Division Championship?
Nominate the best players you have seen in action so far and let’s put it to a reader vote.
This is how you nominate them in the comments section below:
Full name (jersey #, position, school)
For e.g., if you have seen a player who is an excellent midfielder, just type “full name of player (#7, midfielder, Victoria Junior College)” in the comments section below.
All nominated players will enter the voting round that will begin after the nomination period ends on Wednesday, April 16.
Have fun nominating!

Hi A Div Fan, no problem. Happy to respond to thoughtful comments.
SSC supports redsports.sg in practical ways and I am grateful.
You might like to know that Teo Ser Luck is actually contributing columns to redsports.sg. You can check it out here:

If you have thoughtful comments to make regarding the issues he has raised, feel free to write them down in the comments section.

Thank you for your response Les. 🙂 You definately have a point (well 10 billion of it actually ) :):)
Hope perhaps MCYS/ Sports Council/ School Sports Council could sponsor this site as well. 🙂
I’m sure in time, ministers like Teo Ser Luck and Dr. Balakrishnan would give due credit to you and your team. 🙂
Good luck and looking forward to the games ahead! 🙂

Thanks for your compliments.
Unfortunately, we do not have the resources of SPH, a mulit-billion dollar company. Even with a yearly payroll of $10 million, the SPH group of newspapers doesn’t cover school sports in any great depth or detail.
At Red Sports, there are no full-time staff because there is no money to pay for full-time staff. I subsidise this site.
So Red Sports works best when folks like yourself come in and tell the stories that need to be told and take the pictures to support the stories. It’s more fun for everyone that way. 🙂
I think there are a lot of players who are good in the A Division. It’s an extremely good idea to come up with this list, so kudos to the “les” for putting in his time and effort. :):)
In my mind, two players stand out for this year’s competition.
They are :
Anders Aplin #9 from VJC (striker)
and
Nathaniel #12 from SAJC (captain – centre mid)
Les, perhaps, you could come up with a team of the week, a la the local newspaper, the Newpaper. After all A division season only last a few weeks of the year. 🙂
Just a thought. 🙂
