When I was a student back in school, many of my classmates would often skip breakfast. A few days back, I stumbled across an article in lian he zao bao. Apparently, by not eating breakfast, it can actually cause a nutrient deficiency and result in the shrinkage of your brain!
So I’m curious to find out about you student athletes – do you or do you not eat breakfast?

Well. Apparently it does. According to this article, a nutritionist mentioned that by not eating breakfast, it might lead to a lack of nutrients for the child, which in the long run will lead to nutrient deficiency and a shrinkage of the brain.
But on the other hand, if the child skips breakfast and then has a super nutritious and heavy lunch and dinner… I think that is a different story..
Make your actions match your goals. I have met many athletes that tell me they want to be faster or stronger or more explosive but they don’t want to wake up 15 mins earlier to eat a proper breakfast – i.e. eggs, oats, veggies, fruits and other nutrition stuff. This poll is a good idea.
I’m not sure if your brain shrinks because the body certainly gives the brain priority with nutrient allocation, but I’m VERY sure your muscles shrink if you aren’t eating high quality food often!
good idea. Have included it in the poll.
Junwei, love that photo 😉
Hi, i think this is a good idea, surveying our young athletes on their breakfast habits. However, i think u should also have “I eat breakfast” as one of the options, as some of these athletes surely do eat a proper breakfast.
Thanks!
