A reader has kindly put this together for everyone’s benefit. Readers have said that the voting is more a popularity contest. Any vote will always have an element of that. In any case, the aim of this vote, in line with the mission of this site, was to bring our vibrant sports scene to light and given the sheer number of comments for this voting, we think that’s been achieved.
So whether this is the best 15 or not, let’s remember that they are fellow Singaporeans. If some of them move on to represent the nation one day, we hope that their appearance in the top 15 made an encouraging difference in their journey to that high honour.
Red Sports. Always Game.

‘TO GOD BE THE GLORY’
the 2 semi-final games were so thrilling to watch, esp ACSI vs RJC. every player was intensely immersed. Well done to all, esp the 2 teams who didnt make it. u had put in your best. Thanks for giving a gd game.
I particularly enjoyed the part when ACSI sprang a surprise on their hakka ‘intimidators’ by confronting them in a line. It took the spectators by surprise too. Its like being above your challengers. Indeed, they had proven so. RJC was a good fight.

Yup, I was the ex-national rugger who wrote about SA-JJ match. I was the old man looking from the stands and I was impressed with teams like CJC,PJC and JJC.
I am not surprised with the votes some neighbourhood teams are gathering, they deserved those votes. Those who went down to watch the plate semis should have know better of the standards of those games. CJC and JJC were deserved finalists.I am looking forward to the plate finals. More to that, the cup final is one match i will never miss out on as SAJC will be in it, I believe.
haha this is rugby not soccer
oops sorry wrong ppl my bad
cjc no 12 is Justin and no. 18 is jeshwinpal
junwei, dude i was just kidding about the ‘what is this site doing?’
please relax =)
You can impart skills and instil discipline but passion is innate. It has to be caught, cant be taught. Not necessarily every team that trains together for years, turn out stellar. (not even the national teams of many sports) Besides ACSI, few other JCs ruggers train together for 6 years(thru-train), with 1 other taking in many of their primary feeder division winners. (effectively training tog for 10 yrs, from pri to JC).
Even if some teams dont perform optimally, there is no reason why they should drop the sport. Bringing shame would be dropping it just cos you dont win. Sports is about perserverance, endurance, discipline and belief. Its not just about winning! Sure, success is sweet, most coveted. Everyone knows how to bask in its glory. But true winners are those who know how to accept the lost graciously, overcome the defeat and turn it into an enriching learning experience. This will eventually make them stronger and more resilient in life.
Proverbs says : ” BEFORE HONOUR IS HUMILITY “. So lets promote the true meaning of sports.
Lets hope for good weather, fair play and safety for all players tomorrow.
as usual, acjc playing the cocky spoilers of sportsmanship
big disgrace to singapore sports
cant they be humble for once
What is this site doing? We are bringing you news on the Singapore Sports scene. Something which you can hardly see in the newspapers?
What are we doing? We are featuring our school’s athletes, giving them their deserved glory. Without Red Sports, there would be close to zero coverage of school sports. No redsports.sg for you to go to every time you log onto the internet.
Players are put in the voting list only if people had nominated them. If the name’s not there, that means nobody nominated them. Simple as that.
