Ang kuan ren from VJC! i m not a football fan thus i think i dont really know how to comment on her soccer skills. but i guess she’s really not a bad player. Soccer is thought to be a sports where only men will reign and girls are out of the question. But in my opinion, kuan ren is really up to it. She’s not rough like men, but tough as them. A motivated captain and an influential leader. Leading a team of 20 over members is never an easy chore and looking at the bonded team, i guess she has really done her job well and of course, like the champion, the credits goes not only to her but the whole team.Never boastful nor snobbish despite all praises and awards . Witnessing her training before school begins, putting her whole heart into her team is indeed applausible., But above it all, her passion for what she has set her mind on is the plus points. Despite those things that wrapped her in the exalting aura, she still retain that nice and friendly character of hers. The most uncommon girl-next-door, Ang Kuan Ren.
i think football was just giving his/her own opinion so SAINTS please be more polite. what’s more, i think the way football gave his comments is very polite. he is just analyzing a footballer’s play, so no need to get so uptight over it ok? every player gets analyzed and the fact that he is talking abt #10 shows that #10 is an outstanding figure, so relax =)
i didnt say she isnt a good player. and i did say she has good finishes. its just in my opinion that putting say 2 strikers that work with the midfield and around in the play would be better. and i do respect her for getting the golden boots. sorry for the miscommunication there.
SAJC’s #10 is clinical. give her one chance and she will score. that said, she totally deserves the golden boot award for her contributions to her team. i thought the vj defenders did well to isolate her from the gameplay.
eh to football. It highlights how good she is that she can actually convert most of her feeds to goals. Besides its the goals that matter.
does little?
how about golden boot? no?
vjc was lucky to not lose that final. sajc’s plan was simple. maria sucks in the defenders….while deborah does the penetration. that was when the vj defence started to crack. when they stressed so much on maria, leaving deb alone. vj were lucky not to pay the price.
agreed.
i beg to differ.
she IS a good striker, good at positioning, operating under pressure and of course finishing the touch. they didn’t give her the title she top scorer (for 2 consecutive years btw) for nothing (:
Unless football or / happens to play for the SAJC Team,
they have no right at all to judge #10.
Back off.
agreed.
SAJC #10 does little running in a game and relies on feeds by people.. she is a good finisher but in my opinion putting a player like the other sajc striker or the vj strikers would be more effective because she does little in contributing to the play on the field and only camps for the ball for the chance to score
team of the season should be
GK: elizabeth tan ( mjc)
RB: Celestia Tan (#19, SAJC)
CB: Joleen tan (#15 SAJC)
LB: Bethany Koh (#4, VJC)
RM: Narmadha Kamalanathan (#20, SAJC)
CM: Germaine Yap (#3 RJC)
CM: Sherlyn Koh (#8, SAJC)
LM: Seah Pei Qi (#7, VJC)
AM: Ang Kuan Ren (#10 VJC)
ST: Chen Wan Xin (#17, VJC)
