As usual, the amiable and not so amiable conversations continue in the comments section of all the rugby posts pertaining to the A Division Championship Final between St Andrew’s Junior College and Anglo-Chinese School (Independent). For those who haven’t caught up with the news, ACS(I) won 21-8.
Well, here is another rugby story to add to the mix. The RedSportsTV highlights are in two parts and has footage of two tries, one by ACS(I) and the other by the Saints. There are also interviews at the end.
So enjoy. And again, try not to kill each other in the comments section.

sa,
you reap what you sow
If you think i am aRRogant, its aRR……begets aRR………! Got it???
I dun bother ticking you off, just standing up for my conviction, and if you cant take it, best you leave it.
haha good on you guys, i really can’t believe what and why we are debating about this issue. Gold wordings?! It is indeed very true that we will keep it for life, almost if not every old boy keeps their sceondary/JC jerseys till they become old. And this wordings embroided on the jersey is just another sweeter way of remembrance. It’s a nice way to remember. BB you really can go on all day claiming your innocence about having a strong advocate against injustice, but simply you are trying hard to ruffle our feathers and tick us off. So you’re saying that people generalise AC boys? We have a reason to. Just look at yourself. Arogance.
hahaha
i guess BB must be causing great inconvenience to weird making him busy checking……..
erm SA and weird
“The gold wordings were merely for remembrance for the players so when they do grow up, they have something to remember from the ‘Padang’ finals and keep for life, albeit win or lose.”
How true is this? You think about it?
LOL
CORRECTION : “…I am merely a strong advocate of injustice and its my solicitous nature to stand against it.”
Shld read: “……..I am merely a strong advocate AGAINST injustice….”.

wierd : ” Come on people, it’s just a jersey with wordings. Furthurmore, i don’t think any of you here own one of them. So why be such a busy body and make so many comments on it. Constructive comments will be received. But comments that carry personal attacks like " when they DO GROW UP" don’t reflect well on the writer.
I’ve been through a few articles and saw that BB is always going against the saints. Always having bad comments about them. Personally i would suggest BB to seriously not to be so busybody. It actually passes off as very arrogent and inmature. redsport isn’t the place for you to show off your Lit skills. ” UNQUOTE
I am ambivalent abt your last sentence ‘show off Lit skills—–thank you……but thats how we were taught in school.
Humbly,i DONT even consider that literary skills.
I am merely a strong advocate of injustice and its my solicitous nature to stand against it.
If you had objectively read thru a few of my articles, you wud notice that its often in rebuttal to insipid comments.
I personally have nothing agst saints per se, just some ludicrous ‘posters’.
( and I acknowledge there are truely ‘saints’ out there ; pun intended )
Before you make baseless accusations, first look at how you guys stereotyped ACSians.
I wish you had done more responsible fact finding before you accuse me of launching personal attacks——“..when they do grow up “.
This, probably the most reflective view, is written by your own SA. ( you have been remiss in your reading )
Perhaps you may wish to take issue with him.
As with the jerseys, like you said “…its just a jersey..” I dun comprehend the fuss your ‘eagleeye ‘ made of it. And to even suggest ACSI and Raffles employ it ?———its PREPOSTEROUS!!!!
(ple note that this comment by eagleeye is NOT constructive, and has incurred the wrath of both AC and Raffles to rebuke )
If I may reiterate, “….remembrance is etched in our heart and spirit…….” is true for the ACSians. And I am not propagating to you.
I am a protagonist of the AC spirit ——-and this NON-ACSians wont get it.
erm BB
‘All things worthy of rememberance are etched in our heart and spirit which dont degenerate with the elements.”

correction:
the jerseys are not custom made. They are the same as those worn since the first match. The gold wordings are sewn upon only after SAJC qualified for the finals. Jerseys are given to the boys after the season.
…… ‘.The gold wordings were merely for remembrance for the players so when they DO GROW UP , they have something to remember ……….. ‘
Thanks, but ACSians have long GROWN-UP.
All things worthy of rememberance are etched in our heart and spirit which dont degenerate with the elements.
Perhaps in the employ of your own words, this gesture is for those in the hope of ” when they DO GROW UP ”
But then on 2nd thought, its degradable by the elements, so where is your memory???
No wonder wise ex-raffles said ” In all sincerity, I doubt if Rafflesians need to heed SA’s advice on any matter. “
” there seem to be gold wording on the right of their shirts, I believe it has the professional style, date and match name on it?
Is this game that improtant for saints that they made custom jerseys?
y doesnt raffles or acsi employ this? ”
” there we go again, another futile attempt to put down the other school ‘
I dont see any attempt by others to put Sa down.
On the contrary, I sense the reverse.
In all sincerity, I doubt if Rafflesians need to heed SA’s advice on any matter.
Thank you.
there we go again, another futile attempt to put down the other school. The gold wordings were merely for remembrance for the players so when they do grow up, they have something to remember from the ‘Padang’ finals and keep for life, albeit win or lose.
“…there seem to be gold wording on the right of their shirts, I believe it has the professional style, date and match name on it?…”

Its often been said that those who lack the skills, try to camouflage it with style.
In sajc’s case, not surprisingly, BOTH FAILED!!!
LOL!!!
ACSI and Raffles wear their gold in their hearts, NOT on their shirts.
Aiyoh…… sori neh, they paid so much for the jerseys and nobody notice it. What…
a waste.
Raffles and ACSI jerseys were also custom made and they can even afford to put
swaroski crystals on it if they want but they think it is not necessary, serve no
purpose and nobody wuld be able to read or interested to know what has written on it.
did anyone notice that the saints are wearing what looks like new, custom made jerseys just for the finals?
