“Don’t you find it strange? A Malaysian is representing Singapore?”
First of all, Yeong Wooi is representing Malaysia and there is nothing in our reports on Yeong Wooi that says he is representing Singapore.
Since he is studying in a Singapore school, red sports has no problem featuring him.
Secondly, the subtext of your question is to suggest that there is something wrong with him being a Malaysian.
The fact that you speak mandarin suggests that your forefathers came from China. You are a descendant of a foreign talent too.
We are all foreign talents at source, whether we are 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th generation Singaporeans.
neoh, ta mei you dai biao xin jia po. Only Calvin and Shengyu represented Singapore. Yeong Wooi represented Malaysia. But since he lives in Singapore and studies in a Singapore school, I don’t see a problem for Red Sports to feature him.
