Teck Ghee Community Club, 24 July 2008 – Singapore players continued their good form in Round 2 of the 4th World Schools Chess Championships 2008. NUS High's Terry Chua snatched the lead in the U-17 Open. Other local front runners include ACS (Junior)'s Derek Lim in the U-7 Open, Raffles Institution's Timothy Chan in the U-15 Open and Northland Primary's Monisha Raja Jawahar in the U-13 Girls.
Raffles Institution's Shen Chuan Qu in the U-15 Open and Selina Sia from Nanyang Girls’ High in the U-15 Girls also showed good form and have joined the leaders at the championships which started on 23 July. The competition continues into Round 3 today, and Round 4 starts at 9am on Saturday 26 July.
