Yio Chu Kang Stadium, Tuesday, August 5, 2008 – St. Andrew’s Secondary beat Raffles Institution 11-10 in a C Division semi-final shrouded by controversy over two disallowed RI tries.
Commented reader Raffles: “Unfortunately it's sad news from me. Biased refereeing caused us to lose to Saints. We scored 2 tries, and Saints scored 1. 2 more tries were supposed to be ours, but the biased referee did not allow those. Saints won purely with penalties, again biased refereeing.”
“One point. WE DESERVED TO BEAT THEM. WE DESERVED TO FACE ACS(I) IN THE FINALS. Bloody referee!”
Saints led 6-5 (2 penalties to a try) at half-time.
In the second half, Saints scored a try against the run of play to lead 11-5. In the final seconds, RI scored a try to make it 10-11 but failed in their conversion attempt.
In the other semi-final, Anglo-Chinese School (Independent) beat Bedok Town Secondary in a one-sided match with the mercy rule coming into play before full time. ACS(I) won 88-7 but not before a Bedok Town player ran the length of the field to score for his team.
ACS(I) will meet the Saints in the C Division Rugby Championship final at Yio Chu Kang Stadium next week on August 15th. Kick off is 1645hrs.
In other action, St. Joseph’s Institution beat Damai Secondary 22-5 and will now face either Pioneer Secondary or Anglo-Chinese School (Barker) in the plate final.

Hey BB, don’t. Just don’t. I requested that you stop being preachy out of respect for the other “non-believers”. We are a multi-racial, multi-faith society. Just keep your faith to yourself. That’s all. You wanna start a war, that’s fine. Or you can just end it it. It’s in your mighty hands now.
everyone knows theres a cambridge dictionary mate, so whats your point ??
did u just find that out ?
no wonder you took so long to reply. I thought you were censored, but joke, you were checking dictionary.
In Cambridge, theres the Cambridge International Dictionary of English.
If you are ignorant, you may wana save your skin by not challenging.
LOL, Joke
Webster Online Dictinary says…
(http://www.merriam-webster.com/dictionary/profane)
1 : to treat (something sacred) with abuse, irreverence, or contempt :
2 : to debase by a wrong, unworthy, or vulgar use
Please explain to us in your wisdom how that connects to QUOTE: “PROFANITY means-showing a lack of respect to someone or something, esp thru language. It can also be a word, or words which are offensive and obscene.
Two very different scale of views…
Anyway, the point has been proven, here ends the English lesson.
HAHAHA!!!LOL!!!
Let me give you a free tutorial in English comprehension.
PROFANITY means-showing a lack of respect to someone or something, esp thru language. It can also be a word, or words which are offensive and obscene.
you better go back to school. Did you even pass?
also..
if you cant handle a little banter, then dont reply.
dont ask uncle les to censor anything that you dont like.
*tsk tsk tsk..sigh*
joke.
you’re right about the spelling mistake; in fact thats the most logical thing you’ve said so far.
english lesson: which word was a profanity ?
🙂
Btw old sa boy, you ought to be ashamed of your spelling.
Spend some time on your english instead of stirring dung.
old sa boy,
Would appreciate you keep the context unvulgar.
Most of us are young readers and dont need your distasteful perversities.
You have cemented the very reason why ex-raffles say you are so obnoxious, repugnant and hooliganism.
I hope uncle Les please give this boorish person a warning.
We DONT need profanities in this site.
Thank you redsports editors.
if you need respite, suck a lollipop ok?
this is comment number 143, and if you’ve actually read all of them by now, you’d have to be retarded to say only SA boys are “hooliganism” & “so obnoxious and repugnant to always condemn others”
joke..
read the blog in context can you ? it was referring to ACS “I” and in reference to rugby only… dont deviate and embaress yourself.
also, you dont have to let everyone know you have a fetish for shagging sheep… just come over and grab some yourself 🙂
old sa boy
Talking about tradition and history???
Your school still cant hold a candle to us or acs.
( and not in any foreseeable future )
RI and ACS have long traditions and history of being top boys’ schools in academics and sports.
What have you to boast about?—-HOOLIGANISM???
If you and your collaborators stop being so obnoxious and repugnant to always condemn others, perhaps we can have some respite from all this ugliness.
