Beijing, Monday, August 11, 2008 – The Singapore pairing of Jiang Yanmei and Li Yujia have been knocked out of the women’s badminton doubles quarter-finals after they went down 15-21, 12-21 to South Korea’s Lee Hyo Jung and Lee Kyung Won.
Jiang and Li easily whitewashed their USA opponents yesterday and looked to take their form of yesterday to the Koreans. But it was not to be as the Korean fourth-seed pair was simply too strong for them. The only good thing about this was that it actually took the Korean pair 44 minutes to finish off the Singapore pair – a sign that we actually gave them a hard fight!
Haha , they are playing their hearts out for Singapore and are also fellow singaporeans so aren’t they us.
