Hougang Sports Hall, Thursday, November 6, 2008 – Xinmin Secondary overcame Yuying Secondary to win 2-1 (19-25, 25-20, 15-8) in a Round 2, Group Y match at the 2008 National U-16 Girls Junior Volleyball Championship. Despite being one set down, they pushed to force the game into a rubber set. Yuying seemed to have lost steam in the rubber set, and an apparent lost of concentration allowed Xinmin to pull ahead and win the game.
