Kuala Lumpur, Sunday, November 9, 2008 – The Singapore Slingers proved that their win over the Malaysian All-Stars last week was no fluke when they trumped their opponents 80-66 across the Causeway. They had won the earlier game 92-80 despite a depleted line-up back in Singapore.
Slinger Chris Daniel, who was the best performer in their last game, continued his red hot form, leading the Slingers with 21 points and 12 rebounds.
Teammate Amien Kirkland continued his rehabilitation from a torn hamstring to post 12 points and 7 rebounds while man-mountain 2.13m centre Sam Harris added 13 points and 7 rebounds.
Point guards Al Vergara and Shane McDonald also controlled the game well for the Slingers and contributed three 3-pointers each.
The Slingers will next go on a road trip to Indonesia on 22 and 24 November before playing the Philippines All-Stars in the highly anticipated double header on Sunday, November 30th at the Singapore Indoor Stadium.
Oh sure, Francis.

No, our corporate jet was grounded. Something about us not paying for the fuel bill. 😉
[…] Redsports has more. […]
Any stats on the Malaysian players? What about attendance? Did Redsports actually make the trip to KL to watch the game?
