Clementi Sports Hall, February 9, 2009 – Boon Lay Secondary thrashed Hong Kah Secondary 67-29 in a boys’ B Division West Zone Basketball Championship game.
After getting thrashed by Unity 26-87 in their previous game, Boon Lay needed to win this game to give themselves a chance of qualifying for the second round.
Boon Lay started well and by the end of the first quarter, they were leading 21-4, with Jeremy (#7) dropping three 3-pointers and scoring 13 of his team’s points.
In the second quarter, Nicholas (Boon Lay, #10) led with the team with 10 points with his drive in pump fake and teammate Jeremy (#7) added another five points to give Boon Lay a 43-14 half-time lead.
Boon Lay rested their main players in the third quarter. Nicholas (#10) dropped in another six points and led 53-22 at the end of the quarter before wrapping the game up 67-29.
