River Valley High School, Thursday, February 26, 2009 – Yuan Ching Secondary narrowly lost 23-26 to River Valley High in a crucial B Division West Zone Netball Championship game.

Yuan Ching saw their B Division campaign come to an end after losing their two games against Methodist Girls’ School (MGS) and River Valley. Yuan Ching lost to MGS 24-36 earlier in the week.

On the other hand, River Valley got themselves a spot in the semi-final after winning both their games against Kranji and Yuan Ching. River Valley had beaten Kranji 33-18 earlier in the week.

River Valley will be taking on MGS on Monday, March 2nd, for the top position in Group X.

In Group Y, Nan Hua High also took up a spot in the semi-final after winning both their games. Nan Hua triumphed over Jurong West 45-12 and beat Nanyang Girls’ High by a narrow margin of three points.

In another game of Group Y, Bukit Panjang Government High lost to Nanyang Girls’ High 13-39.

Bukit Panjang will take on Nan Hua in their final group game on Monday, March 2nd, and will need to win this game in order to qualify for the semi-final.
