Republic Polytechnic, Monday, April 13, 2009 – Defending champions Singapore Sports School (SSP) survived a Dunman Secondary scare to top Group Y with a close 22-21 quarter-final victory in the 2009 B Division Netball Championship.
Both teams were fighting for top stop in Group Y after already qualifying for the semi-finals with wins over St. Margaret’s Secondary and Nan Hua High. The winner would avoid the daunting task of facing CHIJ Secondary (Toa Payoh) in the semi-finals.
With the victory, Singapore Sports School will play Nanyang Girls’ High while Dunman Secondary will face CHIJ (Toa Payoh).
The semi-finals will be held this Wednesday, April 15th, 2009 at Bedok Sports Hall.

But why is it like.. SSP? whats the P stands for man? im very curious to know… hahha
Singapore SPorts School.
The SP is for “Sports”.
I say again – acronyms are a pain.
hmmm anyone knows why singapore sports school is called SSP? and not SSS?
Because SSS stands for Siglap Secondary School and they came first.
And that’s why, I hate acronyms! 😉
