you apparantly do not know what you are saying. if the vj #5 cant take it, he should quit sports. so if you cant take his taunt. simple. dont even turn up for the game. your analogy of hitting you and apologising to your mother is totally out of point. he did it to the mj crowd and of course apologized to the head of the organisation. it is a different relationship between one and the mother. so, find a better one next time if you are going to post it yes:) and what. you wanted him to go on the microphone and apologise? or go to your school’s assembly to make a special appearance to throw bottles at him? if he is man enough to apologise to your principal, do you question her judgement? if she accepted it, why should you even create a fuss about this when its dying down? you should hit your books instead of your keyboard if you are really that bored. and isnt it human to err? even the greats also make mistakes that make people cring. but they learn. so, if #5 is in a JC, his main aim is to learn, so why are you so anal about it? and are you more of a man than him then? he did it in the full view of everyone and apologised in the full view of everyone too. you, sitting in your chair at home and flaming him. and im sorry, for such a simple taunt, he cant be sent off. maybe you would like to appeal to fifa to make such acts illegal and make then red card offences? wish you all the best in your aimless pursuit of this and flaming people on the net. such people just dont get it. GAME OVER. MOVE ON.
To people who are still arguing, just to clarify if you do not know. Majority of the players that day, we knew each other well. Some of us came from the same secondary school, Victoria School, while we have seen the others on the ‘soccer scene’ before. So we knew each other fairly well, and have moved on. This may help account for the ‘not so sportmanship’ behaviour as complained by others. Although we were fighters on the field, friendship played a part too.
actually all these squabbles are between the spectators… i think
but i do believe on the pitch, the players do have a lot of respect for one another, and appreciate each others talents and abilities.
right? xxx?haha u were on the pitch right
yeah
its been a long time
look forward to next year
the new batches
while the j2’s “retire” haha
hope for another mj vj final
fireworks galore!
for sure

I really think you shouldn’t be questioning if #5 is a man when YOU are hiding behind a nickname and your computer screen, while passing judgement and comments. As are all the other Meridiens on this thread. He apologised to the Principal because she represents your school. It is in fact better protocol to apologise to the head of an organisation, but you’re right since you were a mere spectator, you wouldn’t know that. He wasn’t given a card because it was a split second, small taunt that was ultimately harmless. YOU on the other hand, if you had thrown waterbottles at him, would have been hauled up by the police and charged with rioting. Just to put things into perspective. And I have no idea why you’re bringing this up, again, when it’s been more than a week since. Man, you lot never give it a rest do you.
Hi Les,
I think it’s advisable that you close this thread once and for all. If not, this will never end, whereas the final itself is long gone.
To Ping,
You are just repeating what have been said many times before, by so many others before you. If you so strongly believe that, there are also so many others who feel otherwise. And if they start to rebutt you, it will be the same cycle all over again.
So please, let’s just let the matter rests.
I’m a VJ player on the pitch on that day. I witnessed MJC trying to obstruct our keeper during corners. They nudged him here and there, attempting to distract him.
Having said this, the MJ keeper took more stick I guess, getting hurt by challenges between VJ players. It’s a pity that his nose bled because he played really well and cleanly too.
I urge referees to give more protection to keepers because more often than not, they are subjected to very physical challenges, which may or may not be intentional..
vjc went into the finals and scored 5 goals.. (2 at the wrong side tho.. haha) i guess they tried too hard.. but defintely deserved the victory 😀
