In celebration of the inaugural 1st Asian Youth Games Singapore 2009 taking place from 29 June to 7 July, MILO®, strongly associated with energy and sports is urging students and staff to get in on the action, with a contest that promotes a sporting culture in schools.
Named AYG LIVE! in Campus 2009, this contest is supported by Team Singapore, and runs in three categories, Primary, Secondary and Tertiary. Participants may upload various photo entries that capture their school sports moments, or their support for Team Singapore athletes.
The winning school of each category will be determined by public voting for their favourite entry. Students, school staffs or even parents may participate in this contest which runs from 29 May - 3 July. Voting concludes on the 17 July 2009.
For the first time ever, the three winning photo entries from each category with the highest number of votes will be featured on the MILO® tin label which will be available in the stores from the fourth quarter of this year.
In addition, the winning schools will also receive a total of $8,000 worth of cash and other prizes.
"As a sponsor of the 1st Asian Youth Games Singapore 2009, this marks another milestone in our continued involvement in youth sports development. Through this contest, we hope to encourage more youths to lead an active and healthy lifestyle through sports and play," said Rachel Ma, MILO® brand manager of Nestlé Singapore (Pte) Ltd.
