Sengkang East Drive, Sunday, July 12, 2009 – The POSB Run for Kids saw 3,500 people turn on a Sunday morning to help raise funds for the less privileged children in Singapore.
A total of S$250,000 was raised from the charity run that saw a competitive 8km category as well as a 3.5km Fun Run. 1,000 kids had a 1.6km Kids Run for themselves which saw 80 children from the Singapore Children’s Society taking part.
“We are grateful to POSB for organising this charity run to raise funds and help the thousands of children under our care this year. Children will always be the ones most badly affected in times like this as they are totally dependent on adults to support them.”
Here’s a picture story of the day.
