Singapore, October, 2009 – After a long and exciting season, the top four teams of the Men’s Division 1 Hockey Championship will battle each other in the semi-finals tomorrow at Seng Kang Stadium.

Having beaten the Nanyang Technological University team 6-0 last weekend, the Singapore Recreation Club (SRC) will be looking to bag another title to decorate their trophy room. Currently on top of the table with 37 points, they will be facing the fast and furious Schools Blue team, who lie in fourth place with 19 points, at 4pm. Can SRC book themselves a place in the final just like how their comrades did in Division 2, or will the young underdogs Schools Blue cause an upset? This is one match not to be missed.

In the other semi-final showdown, the mighty Hollandse Club will face the swift and title hungry Schools Red at 6 pm. The Hollandse Club beat the Tornadoes 5-1 last weekend to place second in the table with 29 points. Schools Red on the other hand beat the SRC team 3-0 to place third in the table with 20 points.

Both Schools teams must be really proud to have made it to the semi-finals, and this will certainly be an excellent platform for them to prepare for the Youth Olympics Games next year. Be sure to catch the thrills and spills at the Seng Kang Stadium tomorrow!

In the Men’s Division 3 semi-finals on Sunday, the Police team will take on the Sikhs Sports Club at 4pm. Will the experienced Sikhs Sports Club create a major upset against last year's Division 2 champions, Police? The latter had been undefeated the whole of this season and will be fighting hard to maintain their streak.

The equally experienced Worldiz-Singh Sabha outfit will be facing the young Nanyang Polytechnic team in the other Division 3 semi-final at 6pm. Their matches will also be played at Seng Kang Stadium this weekend.
