Two points on the score sheet may have separated the Singapore Slingers from the Brunei Barracudas in their ASEAN Basketball League (ABL) match last weekend but if the game was measured by character, then both teams epitomised that and shared the win.
It was a cruel 82-80 home defeat for the Barracudas, who dominated the first two periods and led the Slingers by five points (44-39) at half-time. The Slingers had a sluggish start to their first ABL road game but showed what matters most is to finish well.
