With 2009 almost drawing to a close, I am sure a number of players have stood out from the rest and left an impression on you.
Red Sports readers have nominated their A, B, C Division, POL-ITE and IVP male player of the year and it’s now time for you to vote.
You have 5 votes each and you have to use them all at one go.
Have fun! : )
N.B. You should be able to see radio buttons next to the players’ names. If you don’t see it, it means you are using an IP address that has been used by someone else to vote already.
ISPs like StarHub and SingTel use rotating IP addresses. That means you can get locked out even if you haven’t voted. Sorry but we are using a unique IP address voting system to stop players from voting for themselves 1,000 times.
REDpoll

so with that he deserve to win the athlete of the year, i bet there are other athlete in the list who have better achievement to win this thing, dont you guys think so?
O.o
I did see Feng Hua playing at polite game what. Daryl Chia also got play in polite game what. They both in the National U20 squad also.
What nice to compare ???
cause it thats the case any random dude who have no achivement, and have 1000 of friends could win this thing
I think it’ll be easier if athlete could write out their personal achievement in the year, so its easier for voters to vote the best athlete. Thus making it fairer, and the winner would be rewarded of what he is really good at
Dear Red fan –
I am merely comparing the other rugby canidates listed on the list, and particularly someone who has not been recognized before at any level.
Daryl Chia (another rugby canidate) has been on a championship winning team at Secondary school level and is recognized as one of the best centres of his age group – so why is his votes lower than Feng hua?
Having seen Feng Hua in action, I dont think he does merit the hoour in 2009, but after all, its a online forum, and no judges are present to note each person’s achievement.
I vote Damian Pereira Coach of the Century
Guys don’t fight over me haha it’s just a popularity contest 😀
Gerann Ngiam, Softball, Singapore Polytechnic, POL-ITE
Low Feng Hua, Rugby, ITE, POL-ITE
With jus a few more weeks to go.. Gerann Ngiam and Feng Hua is fighting over the first place… who will eventually win??
Gerann Nigam is currently leading with 90 votes.. and Feng Hua trailing of 90 votes..
i agree wif Lols… think be4 u sae ppl…
Peoples think before you say anything.
Thank you.
Have a great day and good luck.
Eh, not helping Feng Hua but have to say something. To pro you see ar school is only using one IP address only. How to use school computer to vote ? Even at lan shop also one IP address. So you making yourself looking like a fool.
Just that he was the winner last year make you mean that he cheat in de voting ? LOLS ?
lol.. this is jus a vote…. y make so many noise…
LOL. But you see, he is the only one representing softball mah. So most softballers will like vote for him? Also, if no one publicised, I would not even know about this website. So I think that it is perfectly okay to advertise yourself? Because anyway, in the end. You are given erm 5 votes? So you can also vote for someone else instead of that one person only? And, if you say the leading guy is not popular, i can say that to everyone too. I do not know any of them.
you guys seriously think the leading guy is that popular? obviously he must have asked people to vote for him and publicised himself one wat. this kind of contest is never fair if you realise. haha so dont blame feng hua. So what if he did that. does it matter?
To PK :
And you turn 1 round just to say about Niam Jun xiong. So that mean you want people to vote for Niam Jun xiong lor. Is this what your want ???
Need to wonder…is this a popularity race as opposed to what is being done on the pitch?
No disrespect to Low Feng Hua, but I do think that actively campaigning on facebook and other ways kind of defeats the purpose of the spirit of the award right? In the case of Feng Hua, he’s not really shone on the pitch for his team, and really he won an award already last year.
I am only coming from a rugby standpoint – Feng Hua has been earmarked from a young age to do well, and its expected of him to perform. What about the likes of Niam Jun xiong, who for the 1st time made it to a national age group team in 2009 after great displays for club and school? He’s made it to the list, but will he campaign as hard as Feng Hua is doing? Clearly the voting results say no (might be otherwise.
Am sorry, but when one starts campaigning on facebook, to me that is when this becomes a popularity contest, not a true reflection of what red sports is all about.
Good Luck all!!
The names below are fighting over the first place..
Gerann Ngiam, Softball, Singapore Polytechnic, POL-ITE
Low Feng Hua, Rugby, ITE, POL-ITE
the vote has already pass 9 days.. their vote are near 500 votes.. Gerann is currently leading abt 100 votes from Feng Hua..
Hope you can win for the glory. Thanks
Last year this voting was
Jabez Su, Basketball, Catholic High, B Division and Low Feng Hua, Rugby, ITE, POL-ITE.
fighting over the 1st place.
Will it be another year for them to be fighting over the 1st place?
SO GOOD LUCK EVERYONE!
