We’ve been plugging along for about three years now and we are quite sure that there are some things we should improve.
So here, in this post, is an opportunity for you to tell us what you cannot stand about Red Sports.
We’ll listen to your feedback and try to improve the site.
So just leave your feedback in the comments section below.
In the meantime, the crew and I we’ll go and thicken up our skin …
Thanks.
Les and the Red Crew
N.B. Comments like “This site is crap”, while we’re sure is heartfelt, is not so useful. And so we’re sure nobody will mind if we delete those.
Comments like “You can improve this site by doing the following …” or “It really bugs me that I can’t find what I’m looking for. For example …” are what we are hoping to get.

Too much focus on 2 sports: basketball and football. I might be ok with basketball, since they get so little coverage in the local press. But I dont understand the need to cover football so extensively (and whine and moan when their match is not live on tv). The footballers are overrated, dont win, dont deliver, take too much money from SSC for no results.
For eg, the main local sports story now is on the SSA-SSC saga. Why has nothing been said about this in Redsports? Instead, we have to hear about Singapore-Iran over and over again
@ice: Football and basketball are the two most popular team sports in Singapore. One look at the number of schools playing those sports at the start of each year is clear enough.
If you wish to send in your opinion piece on the SSA-SSC saga, please do so and we will post it.
If there is a football game involving the national team, there are usually volunteers who want to go for the football game and so they write about the game.
As for hearing about Singapore and Iran over and over again, it’s because, apart from volunteers, the Football Association of Singapore will send press releases, and we post those contributions.
We do this for other national sports associations who also send in their press releases.
If you would like to contribute about a topic and/or sport close to your heart, please feel free to send it along. We usually post reader stories as long as they don’t have a commercial element.
This invitation is open to all readers.
You send it, we post it.

Whether some players are overrated, well, that’s subjective.
How the players react to their write up, well, that’s out of our control.
At Red Sports, as long there is a story about a Singapore player, we’ll post it. We don’t pick one player over another.
firstly i think its great that there is such a site like Redsports which covers many areas left out by the mainstream media. Especially love the pics!
one area that i feel can be improved is for greater coverage of more events. For example, I’m a recreational runner, and altho you do cover the major running and multisports(biathlons & triathlons) events, there are many other events that are interesting but not covered, eg the MR25 ultramarathon, yellow ribbon prison run, etc (pardon me if it was covered and i missed it)
i appreciate that you probably have a tight budget and manpower, so perhaps what you could do is to ask for input or contributing articles from participants of those events.
all the best in 2010, great job and keep it up!
@suggestion: Yes, we realise there a lot of other running events on the calendar like the ones you have mentioned. So we do have a section where folks can write in to tell their story: http://redsports.sg/tell-your-story/
Perhaps we should make it clearer to readers.
Thanks. : )
I feel that some players is too overrated. The ways some you guys write the stories, really is overrating some people, somehow. Making them think that they are damn good. Proud and arrogant.
