National University of Singapore Sports and Recreation Centre, Saturday, January 9, 2010 – Singapore Polytechnic and Singapore Institute of Management played out to a 6-6 draw in Group B of the NUS-Great Eastern Water Polo Challenge 2010.
The draw and the loss of their previous two games leaves SIM at the bottom of the group with one point while SP are level on points with Singapore Management University, both with one loss and one draw after two games each.
“The ball is round, so anything may happen,” said the SIM captain Neo Kah Heng after the game.
“We won’t know how the rest of the matches will be like… but for this competition we’re trying to play every game as it is, we’re not really aiming for champions; it’s just a gathering of water polo players,” he added.
SIM will next face Nanyang Technological University on January 12 while SP will face National University of Singapore on the same day.
