River Valley High School, Thursday, January 21, 2010 - B Division National Netball Championship finalists Nanyang Girls' High (NYG) beat Yuan Ching Secondary (YCS) 22-13 in a West Zone B Division Netball Championship game.

NYG trailed 3-7 after the first quarter but fought back to enter the fourth quarter with a 17-13 lead.

NYG dominated the fourth quarter and kept YCS scoreless, wrapping up the game 22-13. NYG had trounced Unity Secondary 39-2 in an earlier match and are now top of Group A.

In the other Group A matches, Bukit Panjang Government High School toppled Hillgrove Secondary 57-11 while Unity Secondary gave no pressure to Bukit Batok Secondary, losing the game 2-39.

In Group B, West Zone finalists Nan Hua High School had an easy time, thrashing Regent Secondary and Dunearn Secondary 32-7 and 60-1 respectively to top their group.

West Zone semi-finalists River Valley High beat Chua Chu Kang Secondary 52-0 in their opening Group C match. Chua Chu Kang also lost their opening game 6-40 to West Spring Secondary.

Another West Zone semi-finalists, Methodist Girls' School (MGS), got off to a winning start. MGS handed Yusof Yishak Secondary and Westwood Secondary 39-13 and 32-9 defeats respectively to top Group D.
